Maruti Suzuki Starts Production at Second Kharkhoda Plant

Maruti Suzuki India Limited has started commercial production at its second manufacturing plant in Kharkhoda, Haryana. The new plant has an annual production capacity of 2.5 lakh units, which increases the total capacity of the Kharkhoda facility to 5 lakh vehicles per year. This move is part of the company’s plan to expand its manufacturing network in India.
Total Production Capacity Crosses 26.5 Lakh Units

With the start of operations at the new Kharkhoda plant, Maruti Suzuki’s total yearly production capacity across Haryana and Gujarat has now reached 26.5 lakh units. The company also shared that once the Kharkhoda facility becomes fully operational, it will become one of Suzuki’s biggest car manufacturing hubs in the world with the capacity to produce up to 10 lakh vehicles every year.
Brezza and Victoris SUVs Being Manufactured

The Kharkhoda facility is currently manufacturing the Maruti Suzuki Brezza and Maruti Suzuki Victoris SUVs. Maruti Suzuki had already announced its plan to add 5 lakh units of production capacity during FY2026-27, and this new plant is an important step towards achieving that target.
Foundation Stone Was Laid by Narendra Modi
The foundation stone of the Kharkhoda manufacturing facility was laid by Narendra Modi in August 2022. Maruti Suzuki believes the expanded facility will help the company meet growing customer demand and support its future growth plans in the Indian automobile market.
