Kia Seltos Turbo-Petrol Real World Fuel Efficiency
The Kia Seltos turbo petrol mileage has been tested 1.5-litre direct-injection turbo-petrol engine, which produces 160hp and 253Nm and comes paired with a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox. In Eco mode, the SUV delivered 9.27 kpl in city driving and 14.76 kpl on the highways.
Despite being larger, better and around 80 kg heavier, the new model still manages to deliver slightly better fuel efficiency than the older first-generation 1.4-litre turbo petrol 7DCT version. The previous model returned 8.5 kmpl in the city and 14.1 kmpl on the highway, while the newer version performs marginally better in both conditions.

Before starting a real-world mileage test, we fill the car’s fuel tank completely and set tyre pressure at recommended levels. Then drive a car on fixed city and highway routes.
During the test, there is only a single person in the car, and the AC is kept at 22°C in full-auto mode. Other electricals like the music system, indicators and wipers are used normally, just like in daily driving. We also swap drivers at regular intervals to reduce driving-style differences. After each test cycle, fuel efficiency is calculated by refilling the tank to full again.
