Kia India Sales May 2026 with 23.6% YoY

The new Kia Seltos breaks the record of surpassing 10,000 units every month since it launch in January 2026.

Kia India posted its best-ever sales on 1st June 2026. The total sales during the month of May reached 27,586 units, and this recorded a 23.6% year-on-year growth from 22,315 units in May 2025. The Kia engaged the customers demand with their model range and continued brand momentum in the Indian automotive market.

Kia India continued strong growth in 2026. Between January and May month of 2026, Kia sold 1,39,197 vehicles, a total growth of 14.6% during the same period of last year.

Kia India said the growth was driven by steady demand for its vehicles and by focusing on the premium features and modern technology.

May sales were driven by its key models like Kia Seltos and Sonet, while the recently launched some of these, such as Carens Clavis, Clavis EV and May26 Syros also received a good response.

The senior VP of Kia India said that an initiative like our Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) is playing an important role in making electric vehicles more accessible for indian costumers.

The new Kia Seltos is a standout performer in May. Surpassing 10,000 units sales every month.

The Sonet continued to hold its position in the compact SUV segment.

Kia said the MY26 Syros has been well received by customers, thanks to its updated variant range, wider automatic transmission options, and stronger value proposition.

The Carens Clavis and Clavis EV also continued to gain popularity among buyers looking for practical family vehicles with advanced features. The company's new Battery-as-a-Service programme is expected to make electric vehicle ownership more accessible by lowering initial costs and improving convenience.
