The next-generation Kia Seltos Hybrid has been officially revealed for global markets, bringing major updates with hybrid technology for the first time. While the design remains similar to the current model, the big highlight is its advanced electrified powertrain aimed at better efficiency and performance.

This setup is made for city use, delivering smooth acceleration, quick response, and improved fuel efficiency for everyday driving.

178bhp Hybrid with e-AWD Explained

The 2026 Kia Seltos now comes with a hybrid powertrain option. It is powered by a 1.6-litre strong hybrid system that delivers up to 178bhp in its higher-spec version. Along with this, it gets Kia’s new e-AWD technology, which intelligently distributes power between the wheels to improve grip, stability, and overall driving confidence across different road conditions.

V2L Functionality

Kia Seltos Hybrid comes with advanced Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) technology allowing you to power or charge external devices directly from the SUV’s hybrid battery. It essentially works as a mobile power source, making it useful for road trips and outdoor use. Adding to its practicality, the Stay Mode feature keeps the cabin comfortable with climate control active even when the vehicle is parked, without running the engine continuously.

Market Launch Details

In terms of launch, the hybrid Seltos will first go on sale in global markets in 2026, while India is expected to get it around 2027. The India-spec version may feature a more localized hybrid setup focused on better fuel efficiency and competitive pricing.
