2027 Honda City Facelift India Launch, Price & Features
Honda’s Honda City has been spotted testing again in international markets, which clearly shows that the company is preparing an update for this sedan. The car seen in the images was fully covered, so exact details are not visible, but it confirms that work on the facelift is already in progress.
As per current expectations, the updated model could first be revealed globally sometime in 2026. After that, it is likely to come to India within a few months. Many reports suggest that Honda may target the festive season in India, as this period usually sees higher car sales.

Launch timing and what to expect
If we go by Honda’s previous launch pattern, India generally gets the updated version soon after the global debut. This means the new City could arrive in showrooms before the end of 2026.
Testing in markets like Brazil also suggests that this will be a global update, not something limited to one region. So the Indian model is expected to be quite similar in terms of design and features.
Small design changes, not a full redesign
From what can be understood so far, this is not going to be a completely new generation model. It will be more of a mid-cycle update.
The front of the car may get a new grille and slightly sharper headlamps. The bumper design could also be changed a bit to give a fresh look. At the rear, there may be small updates like a revised bumper and changes in the reflector placement.
The side profile is likely to remain the same, though new alloy wheels could be added to make it look slightly different from the current version.
Engine setup likely to remain unchanged
Honda is expected to continue with the same engine options that are currently available.
This includes the 1.5-litre petrol engine, which is known for its smooth performance. The hybrid version will also continue, as it has been getting good response for its fuel efficiency.
There are chances of small improvements in tuning, but no major changes are expected in terms of power or overall setup.
Features may get a few additions
Inside the cabin, the overall layout may remain similar, but Honda could add a few more features to match competition.
The existing touchscreen system, smartphone connectivity, and ADAS features are expected to continue. Along with this, the company may introduce things like a 360-degree camera or ventilated seats, which are now becoming common in this segment.
Apart from this, small improvements in interior quality and materials can also be expected.
Mileage is expected to stay similar
Since the engine options are not changing, mileage figures are also likely to remain close to the current model.
The petrol version may continue to offer around 17–18 km/l, while the hybrid variant will remain the most efficient option in the lineup.
Pricing could see a slight increase
The current model starts at around ₹12 lakh (ex-showroom), and the facelift version may be priced slightly higher.
This increase will mainly depend on the features that Honda adds. The hybrid variant is expected to stay in the higher price range, close to ₹18–20 lakh.
