2026 Honda City Exterior Design
The biggest visual change of this facelift is the redesigned the fascia with sleeker headlamps, a new LED DRL signature and a light bar connecting the lighting elements. The sedan also gets a new body coloured honeycomb pattern grille.
The bumper has also been reworked with a wider central air intake and triangular side intakes, giving the City a sharper appearance. In profile, the sedan largely remains familiar but now gets new dual-tone 16-inch alloy wheels. At the rear, Honda has added a revised two-tone bumper, edge-mounted reflectors and a body-coloured faux diffuser.
Honda has also introduced a new colour option Crystal Black Pearl. Existing shades such as Radiant Red, Obsidian Blue, Meteoroid Grey, Lunar Silver and Platinum White continue to be offered.
2026 Honda City Interior and Features
Inside, the new Honda City we will larger 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The overall dashboard layout remains similar, with the dual-tone cabin theme, centre console, AC vents and part-digital instrument cluster carried over from the previous model.
The sedan now gets important feature additions, including front ventilated seats and a 360-degree camera. Other features remain the same like wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless phone charging, an 8-speaker sound system, ambient lighting, connected car technology, sunroof, electric parking brake and rear windscreen sunblind.
Honda has also retained physical buttons and dials for climate control and steering-mounted functions, which should make the cabin easier to use while driving.
2026 Honda City Safety Features
The 2026 City continues to offer a strong safety package. Key safety features include 6 airbags, Level 2 ADAS, lane watch camera, hill-start assist, rain-sensing wipers and a 360-degree camera.
The ADAS suite keeps the City competitive against newer midsize sedan rivals, especially for buyers who prioritise safety and driver assistance features.
2026 Honda City Engine, Mileage and Specs
Mechanically, the 2026 Honda City remains unchanged. The sedan continues with a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 121 hp and 145 Nm. This engine is available with a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 7-step CVT automatic.
The Honda City Hybrid continues with the 1.5-litre strong-hybrid e:HEV powertrain. It produces 126 hp and 253 Nm and comes paired with an e-CVT gearbox. Honda claims a fuel efficiency of 27.26 kmpl for the hybrid version. The company is also offering a new 5-year warranty on all hybrid components.
Expert Verdict
The 2026 Honda City facelift is not a major mechanical update, but it brings the right upgrades where buyers will notice them most. The sharper design, larger touchscreen, 360-degree camera, ventilated seats and continued hybrid option make it a stronger package in the midsize sedan space. However, the higher price of the top variants means buyers will need to compare it closely with the Hyundai Verna, Skoda Slavia and Volkswagen Virtus before making a final decision.
