Honda ZR-V Hybrid Powertrain and Performance
The India-spec Honda ZR-V comes with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine paired with a dual-motor strong-hybrid system.

This setup produces a combined output of 184 hp and 315 Nm, making it one of Honda’s most powerful hybrid SUVs for the Indian market.
Power is sent to the front wheels through an e-CVT automatic gearbox. Honda claims the SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 8 seconds, while the top speed is electronically limited to 172 kmph. The claimed fuel efficiency stands at 22.79 kmpl, making the Honda ZR-V Hybrid a strong option for buyers looking for a premium SUV with better running efficiency.

Honda ZR-V Exterior Design

The Honda ZR-V gets a clean, sporty and premium design. At the front, it features slim LED headlamps with L-shaped DRLs, a black grille and functional air vents on both sides of the bumper.
The SUV rides on 18-inch alloy wheels, while gloss-black cladding around the wheel arches and lower door panels adds a rugged touch. At the rear, the ZR-V gets wraparound LED tail-lamps, a roof-mounted spoiler, rear wiper and washer, along with dual exhaust outlets connected by a silver trim.
Honda ZR-V Interior and Features

Inside, the Honda ZR-V Hybrid gets a premium and practical cabin layout. The SUV comes with a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, along with a 10.25-inch digital driver display.
Feature highlights include a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, wireless phone charging, ambient lighting, leatherette upholstery, powered front seats, powered tailgate and a 12-speaker Bose sound system.
Honda has also kept several physical buttons and knobs for key functions such as climate control, volume, drive modes and gear selection. This should make the cabin easier to use while driving.
Honda ZR-V Safety Features
The SUV is expected to come with a strong safety package, including 8 airbags, Level-2 ADAS, tyre pressure monitoring system, electronic parking brake and a 360-degree camera.
These safety features will help position the Honda ZR-V Hybrid as a premium SUV for buyers who want comfort, technology, efficiency and safety in one package.
Honda ZR-V Expected Price and Rivals
Since it will arrive as a CBU import, the Honda ZR-V price in India is expected to be on the premium side. The SUV could be priced between Rs 40 lakh and Rs 50 lakh ex-showroom.
At this price point, the Honda ZR-V will rival SUVs such as the Skoda Kodiaq, Volkswagen Tiguan and Jeep Meridian. While some of these rivals offer a 7-seat layout, the ZR-V will focus more on strong-hybrid efficiency, premium features and Honda’s reliability appeal.
Expert Verdict
The Honda ZR-V Hybrid brings a strong mix of hybrid efficiency, premium features and sporty SUV styling. Its 22.79 kmpl claimed mileage, 184 hp output and feature-loaded cabin make it an interesting choice for buyers looking beyond regular petrol SUVs. However, its final value will depend heavily on the official India price. Image Source- TeamBHP
