VinFast Q1 2026 Revenue Grows 42%

Singapore, June 8, 2026: VinFast Auto Ltd. has announced its financial results for the first quarter of 2026, reporting strong growth in both vehicle deliveries and revenue as the company continues to expand across global markets. During the January-March 2026 period, VinFast delivered 58,577 electric vehicles (EVs) worldwide, marking a 61% year-on-year increase.

Overseas markets contributed around 8% of the company's total EV deliveries during the quarter. The company also continued to perform strongly in its home market of Vietnam, where EV deliveries grew by 53% compared to the same period last year. VinFast remained the best-selling automotive brand in Vietnam, a position it has held since September 2024.

India and Southeast Asia Remain Key Growth Markets

VinFast said India and Southeast Asia continue to play an important role in its global growth plans. By the end of the first quarter of 2026, the company had become the number one battery electric vehicle (BEV) brand in the Philippines. It also ranked fourth among BEV brands in India and eighth in Indonesia.

Apart from electric cars, VinFast also recorded impressive growth in its electric two-wheeler business. The company delivered 143,136 e-scooters and e-bikes during the quarter, representing a massive 219% increase compared to Q1 2025. In March 2026 alone, VinFast received more than 135,000 e-scooter orders and shipped over 93,000 units to dealers across Vietnam. The company currently leads Vietnam's electric motorcycle market and increased its share of the overall motorcycle market to 17% during March.

Revenue Crosses $920 Million

VinFast reported total revenue of VND 23,111.1 billion (US$920.7 million) in the first quarter of 2026. This represents a 41.7% increase year-on-year. According to the company, strong EV demand in Vietnam along with growing contributions from international markets such as India, Indonesia and the Philippines helped drive revenue growth during the quarter.

Global Showroom and Service Network Expanding

As part of its global expansion strategy, VinFast continued to strengthen its sales and after-sales network. By the end of Q1 2026, customers could purchase VinFast electric vehicles through 447 showrooms worldwide. The company also signed Memoranda of Understanding with 29 after-sales partners across multiple markets to develop service workshops that meet VinFast's global standards. Looking ahead, VinFast aims to expand its global service network to more than 1,100 workshops during 2026, covering regions including North America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

Focus on Long-Term Growth

Commenting on the results, Pham Nhat Quan Anh, Chairman of VinFast, said the company has entered a new phase focused on disciplined execution, sustainable growth and improving operational efficiency.

He added that VinFast is working to strengthen its business foundation, improve capital efficiency and build a more flexible and resilient business model while continuing its global expansion. Lan Anh Nguyen, Chief Financial Officer of VinFast, said the company remains focused on financial discipline, operational excellence and efficient use of capital. She added that VinFast continues to work on improving productivity, reducing costs and strengthening its financial position to support long-term growth.

VinFast Strengthens Autonomous Driving Plans

VinFast is also making progress in autonomous driving technology. On June 1, 2026, the company announced a strategic collaboration with NVIDIA and Autobrains during the NVIDIA GTC Taipei event at COMPUTEX 2026.

The partnership will develop a next-generation Level 4 autonomous driving programme for Southeast Asia, based on the NVIDIA DRIVE Hyperion platform. According to VinFast, the collaboration is aimed at making advanced autonomous driving technology more accessible while supporting its use in markets with complex traffic conditions.

Outlook

VinFast plans to continue expanding its global presence through different sales channels, with dealership partnerships remaining its primary distribution model.The company also intends to strengthen its manufacturing, assembly and distribution capabilities in international markets where it currently operates.

In addition, VinFast is evaluating new vehicle segments, technologies and smart mobility solutions as part of its long-term growth strategy. The company believes its recent performance highlights the success of its global expansion efforts and provides a strong foundation for future growth.
