VinFast Green SM Cabs India Launch: Rs 8/Km Fare to Rival Ola, Uber

Ahead of VinFast’s formal launch targeting Delhi NCR, Green SM has begun recruiting driver partners across India.

Vietnamese Vingroup is preparing to enter India's cab market through its electric Green SM, also known internationally as GSM or Green Smart Mobility. The service operates within the broader Vingroup ecosystem, which includes electric vehicle manufacturer VinFast Motors.

Ahead of its launch, VinFast Green SM has Started recruiting driver partners in India, rolling out social media advertisements and PR across multiple platforms, Carbike4u professional reported this. The “Driver Nahi, Partner Bano” campaign advertises potential monthly earnings of up to Rs 40,000, plus insurance and performance incentives, using Green SM-branded VinFast EV visuals aimed at NCR drivers.

Green SM is entering India's EV-only cab space shifts, after BluSmart paused operations, putting it up against urban mobility players like Ola and Uber.

This move points to a wider mobility play by the Vingroup-VinFast ecosystem in India, going beyond retail sales into fleet operations and ride-hailing. VinFast is also building out its passenger vehicle plans, including a factory in Tamil Nadu, and has expressed interest in fleet-focused mobility opportunities.
