Renault Bridger India Patent Filed New Compact SUV Expected By 2027

And what should be noticed is that Renault is planning to be stronger in the compact SUV range in India. Renault Bridger has filed for the patent of design which gave the hint that the brand is working on SUV models.

There are no details to be shared by Renault regarding this SUV but there are some patent images which clarifies its design and body of this car.

Design of Renault Bridger

Most of the SUVs designed in India are soft and rounded but Renault Bridgers look is little different and look boxy.

There is an upright windscreen, flat roofline and rugged stance in it. In front, there is a wide grille, slim headlamps and silver skid plate designed.

In the sides, a black cladding big wheelbase and dark colored alloy wheels makes its look tough and strong.

At Rear side, there is big glassed space with blacked-out pillars design, that makes a SUV unique.

Renault Bridger Engine and Powertrain Options

According to the reports, Renault Bridger comes with multiple engine options:

• 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine

• 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine

• 48V mild hybrid setup

• CNG option

• Electric variant with different battery options

But Renault India hasn't confirmed the official launch of this powertrain. After the launch the details of engine and power could be different.

Bridger Position in Renault Lineup

Renault India sells the SUVs like Kiger and Duster. Bridger would be positioned below the Renault Duster, which means it will be a sub-4-meter SUV segment car.

According to the reports, Renault Bridger can be launched in India by 2027, however the company did not announce the official launch date.
