Hyundai Creta Summer Edition 2026 Launched

Hyundai India has just launched the Creta Summer Edition variants and the timing could not be better. April is here and so is a fresh version of India's most loved mid-size SUV.
The Creta has been the number one selling SUV in the mid-size segment ever since it launched back in 2015. Over 1.4 million customers have bought one and in FY 2025-26 alone sales crossed 2 lakh units. That is not just a good number that is dominance.

So what is new with the Summer Edition? Hyundai has not changed the car top to bottom. Instead they have taken specific features that buyers really want and pushed them down into lower variants so more people can get access to them without spending extra. Think of it as Hyundai making the Creta feel more complete across the range.
Let us go through everything that is new and which variant gets what.
What Is New in the Creta Summer Edition
The Summer Edition updates are spread across six variants. Each one gets a specific set of new additions. Here is a clear breakdown of what each variant gets:

CRETA EX Summer Edition
This is the entry-level variant and it now gets two very useful additions that were missing before:
Smart Key
Push Button Start
These two features make a real difference in daily use. No more fumbling with keys when your hands are full. You just walk up and go.
CRETA EX(O) Summer Edition
This variant gets the biggest upgrade of the lot. Hyundai has added a full set of lighting and convenience updates here:
Quad Beam LED Headlamps
LED Tail Lamps
Horizon LED Positioning Lamp and DRLs
Front and Rear LED Turn Indicators
Smart Key and Push Button Start
Rear Window Sunshade
R16 Dual Tone Styled Steel Wheel
Rear Camera with Dynamic Guidelines
The LED lighting package alone makes the EX(O) look much sharper and feel more premium. The rear camera with dynamic guidelines is also a practical addition for parking in tight spots.
CRETA S(O) Summer Edition and S(O) Knight Summer Edition
Both these variants get one very practical addition — a built-in Dashcam.
This is actually a really thoughtful feature to include. Instead of buying and fitting an aftermarket dashcam yourself the Creta now comes with one built right in. The dashcam works in multiple recording modes which we will explain further below.
CRETA SX Summer Edition
Two new features come to this variant:
10.25 inch Multi Display Digital Cluster
Dashcam
The 10.25 inch digital instrument cluster is a proper upgrade. It displays all your driving info in a large clear screen and you can customise what you see. Paired with the dashcam this makes the SX Summer Edition feel noticeably more equipped than the regular SX.
CRETA SX Premium Summer Edition
This gets the most comprehensive set of additions in the whole Summer Edition range:
10.25 inch Multi Display Digital Cluster
Surround View Monitor (SVM)
Blind-spot View Monitor (BVM)
Front Parking Sensors
The Surround View Monitor is a 360-degree camera system that shows you a bird's eye view of the car on the screen while parking. The Blind-spot View Monitor shows you a live camera feed of your blind spots when you use the indicators. And front parking sensors help you inch forward confidently in bumper-to-bumper traffic. Together these three safety features make the SX Premium Summer Edition feel genuinely safer and more capable.

Why This Update Makes Sense for Hyundai
The Creta has had strong competition this year from the likes of Kia Seltos, Tata Sierra, Renault Duster and the Volkswagen Taigun facelift which also launched today. Adding features across the range without dramatically raising the price is a smart move. It keeps existing buyers happy and gives new buyers a stronger reason to pick the Creta over a rival.
The Creta already had the numbers — over 14 lakh customers and 2 lakh units sold in a single financial year. The Summer Edition keeps that momentum going.
