MINI Convertible John Cooper Works Pack Launched in India at Rs 61.50 Lakh

MINI India has officially launched the new Convertible John Cooper Works Pack in India on April 28 2026. The price is Rs 61,50,000 ex-showroom and deliveries have started immediately from the day of launch. The car comes to India as a completely built-up unit imported from abroad and can be booked at all MINI India dealerships right now.

What Is the MINI Convertible JCW Pack

The John Cooper Works Pack is not a completely new car. It takes the MINI Convertible S and adds a full JCW visual and performance package on top of it. Think of it as the sportiest and most aggressive looking version of the MINI Convertible that you can buy in India right now.

JCW is MINI's performance sub-brand and it carries a lot of emotional weight for MINI enthusiasts. The JCW name has been on race cars, rally cars and road cars for decades and it stands for driving involvement, sporty looks and a more focused character.

Exterior Design

The JCW Pack adds a complete set of visual upgrades to the outside of the car. The front gets a JCW-specific grille along with JCW front and rear bumpers, side skirts and door entry sills. Piano Black exterior trim and wheel arches add to the sporty and premium feel.

Colour options are two Legend Grey and Midnight Black. Both come with mirror caps and roof in Jet Black. The Legend Grey option also gets black bonnet stripes which give it a more motorsport-inspired look. The headliner inside is finished in Anthracite on both colour options.

The standard LED headlights come with three different light signatures and a specially orchestrated welcome and goodbye animation with MINI logo projections on the sides. This is a small but genuinely charming detail that makes approaching the car feel like an occasion.

Wheels are 17-inch JCW Sprint Spoke Black alloys that match the overall dark and sporty theme of the exterior perfectly.

The Soft Top

The high-quality black soft top is one of the most important features of any convertible and MINI has got it right here.

The electrically operated soft top opens fully in 18 seconds and closes in 15 seconds. You can operate it at speeds of up to 30 kmph which means you do not need to find a parking spot every time the weather changes. While the top folds the window bars and side windows lower simultaneously giving a completely unobstructed view of the sky and surroundings.

There is also a partial open sunroof mode where the roof can be opened to a length of 40 centimetres. This mode works at any speed so you can crack it open on a highway cruise without fully opening the roof.

Boot space is 160 litres with the roof down and expands to 215 litres when the roof is closed.

Interior and Features

Inside the JCW Pack gets a full sports interior treatment. The JCW Sport Seats are covered in Vescin and Cord combination upholstery in JCW Black. Vescin is a high-quality perforated artificial leather-free material made from recycled materials. The dashboard gets JCW Black Knit treatment and the JCW Sport Steering Wheel with paddle shifters ties the sporty theme together neatly.

The focal point of the cabin is the round OLED display which MINI calls the MINI Interaction Unit. It is 240mm across and combines the instrument cluster and central infotainment functions into one circular screen. It is one of the most distinctive interior features of any car available in India today.

The car runs MINI Operating System 9 with a smartphone-style interface. The MINI Intelligent Personal Assistant responds to Hey MINI voice commands for navigation, calls, entertainment and other functions. MINI Digital Key Plus turns your phone into a car key and allows you to share access with other users along with their personalised vehicle settings.

Other tech features include a Head-up Display, Harman Kardon Surround Sound System, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Remote Software Updates, In-Car Weather information, Wireless Charging Tray and Personal E-SIM.

MINI Experience Modes let you change the character of the car by adjusting the ambient lighting, sound and graphics theme together. These include Go-Kart Mode for a race-inspired feel, Green Mode for efficiency-focused driving, Vivid Mode for a lively atmosphere and others.

A Toggle Bar Island sits below the display and gives access to start/stop, gear selector, parking brake, experience modes and volume control all in one place.

Electric seat adjustment with memory function is available for the driver and the front passenger. The driver also gets an Active Seat for added lumbar and postural support on longer drives.

Engine and Performance

The engine under the bonnet is a 2.0-litre four-cylinder TwinPower Turbo petrol unit. It makes 204hp at 5000 to 6500 rpm and 300 Nm of torque between 1450 and 4500 rpm.

Performance numbers are strong for a car of this size and character. The 0 to 100 kmph sprint takes 6.9 seconds and the top speed is 240 kmph. Fuel efficiency is rated at 16.82 km per litre.

The gearbox is a 7-speed Double Clutch Steptronic Sport Transmission with a Boost Mode. Boost Mode gives a momentary surge of extra performance during hard acceleration making the driving experience more exciting and responsive when you want it to be.

The JCW Pack also gets Adaptive Suspension and JCW Sport Brakes as standard which together improve the handling response and stopping performance over the standard Convertible setup.

Safety Features

The MINI Convertible JCW Pack comes with ADAS Level 1 driver assistance features along with a comprehensive standard safety package.

ADAS features include Front Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Attentiveness Assistant, Speed Warning and Reversing Assistant.

Standard safety equipment covers front and passenger airbags, rollover protection system, Brake Assist, Dynamic Stability Control, Anti-lock Braking System, Cornering Brake Control, Rear View Camera, Park Distance Control front and rear, Parking Assistant, Crash Sensor and 3-Point Seat Belts on all seats.

The Comfort Access System automatically locks and unlocks the car when the key is detected within 1.5 metres. You never need to reach for the key in your pocket.

Warranty and Service Plans

The MINI Convertible JCW Pack comes with a standard two-year unlimited kilometre warranty. Roadside assistance is available 24 by 7 for two years and both the warranty and assistance benefits transfer to the next owner if the car is sold.

Service inclusive plans start from 3 years or 40,000 km and can be extended up to 10 years or 1,00,000 km. Warranty can also be extended from the third year of ownership up to a maximum of ten years.
