MG Cars Are Getting More Expensive From April 1 - Up To 2%

JSW MG Motor India has announced a price hike of up to 2 percent across its entire lineup from April 1, 2026. Both petrol and electric models are affected. The company says the increase is to partially offset rising input costs.
This makes MG the latest brand to announce a hike this month, after Tata Motors, BMW and Mercedes-Benz all confirmed similar revisions for the new financial year.
Which MG Cars Are Getting More Expensive
All eight models in MG's current lineup will see a price revision. Here is the current price list before the hike kicks in:
Model | Current Price (Ex-Showroom) |
|---|---|
MG Comet EV | Rs 7.5 lakh to Rs 10 lakh |
MG Astor | Rs 9.79 lakh to Rs 15.3 lakh |
MG Windsor EV | Rs 14 lakh to Rs 18.5 lakh |
MG Hector | Rs 11.99 lakh to Rs 18.99 lakh |
MG Hector Plus | Rs 17.29 lakh to Rs 19.49 lakh |
MG ZS EV | Rs 17.99 lakh to Rs 20.5 lakh |
MG Gloster | Rs 38.33 lakh to Rs 43.16 lakh |
At 2 percent, the hike ranges from around Rs 15,000 on the base Comet EV to approximately Rs 86,000 on the top-spec Gloster.
MG has not shared model-specific breakdowns yet. Exact revised prices will be available from April 1 at dealerships and on the official MG India website.
What Is Not Getting Dearer
The MG Select premium lineup — the Cyberster electric roadster and the M9 luxury MPV — are not part of this price revision. Both of those models continue at their current prices.
Buy Before March 31
If you have been considering an MG car, today is the last day to book at the current price. Booking and invoicing before midnight on March 31 locks in the existing price regardless of when the car is delivered. Most MG dealerships can process same-day bookings.
