The DC Avanti was India’s first home-grown sports car, designed by DC Design. It came as a 2-seater coupe with a mid-mounted 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, rear-wheel drive and a 6-speed manual gearbox. The Avanti offered bold styling, low-slung sports car looks, 170mm ground clearance and colours like Red, Silver and White. It is now discontinued in India but remains popular in the used sports car market.
