Range Rover SV Ultra Revealed – World First In-Car Electrostatic Sound and Exclusive New Design

Range Rover has officially revealed the new SV Ultra on April 29 2026. This is the most luxurious and technologically advanced Range Rover ever made and it introduces two things that no car in the world has offered before — SV Electrostatic Sound technology and the exclusive Titan Silver paint finish.

The SV Ultra sits at the very top of the Range Rover lineup and is designed for buyers who want the absolute best in luxury, technology and refinement.
Titan Silver - A Paint Finish Like No Other
The Titan Silver exterior paint is exclusive to the SV Ultra and is not available on any other Range Rover model. It uses real fine aluminium flake and advanced pigment technology to create a highly reflective mirror-like surface that looks like liquid metal.

Satin Platinum Atlas and Silver Chrome accents complement this finish on the grille and side graphic. The 23-inch alloy wheels come with Satin Platinum inserts and new Range Rover centre caps.
New Interior - Leather-Free and Laser-Crafted
Inside the SV Ultra gets a completely new duo-tone interior in Orchid White and Cinder Grey using Ultrafabrics - a premium leather-free material. This was a deliberate choice because Ultrafabrics allows for a fine laser-crafted mosaic pattern on the seats that would not be possible on leather. The pattern runs across the sculpted upper seat sections, inserts and backrests creating a unified premium look.

A new rattan palm veneer using a patented technique adds natural texture and depth to the cabin. It is finished in a lighter Orchid White tint and runs beneath the touchscreen all the way through to the rear club table and the integrated cooler compartment door.
Other interior details include:
Gloss white ceramic trim finish
Colour-matched Orchid Pearl SV speakers
Orchid White seatbelts
SV Ultra branded treadplates
New elongated scatter cushion in Kvadrat remix textile — a wool and recycled polyester blend

World First - SV Electrostatic Sound Technology
This is the headline technology of the SV Ultra and it is genuinely a world first. No car before this has used electrostatic sound technology in a production vehicle.
The SV Electrostatic Sound system uses 21 lightweight thin-film transducers placed inside redesigned winged headrests, seatbacks and other speaker locations including the headlining. Each speaker contains a membrane just 1mm thick that responds up to 1,000 times faster than a conventional speaker. The result is clear, precise and distortion-free audio that recreates music exactly as the artist intended.

The electrostatic speakers use up to 90 percent less power and are 90 percent lighter than the conventional coil speakers they replace. They are also made from zero rare earth elements and 100 percent upcycled and recyclable materials. The system has been tested for over 1,000 hours in temperatures ranging from minus 20 degrees to 65 degrees Celsius.
The SV Electrostatic Sound system is available as an option exclusively on all SV models including the SV Ultra.
Full Body Audio - BASS and Sensory Floor
The electrostatic system works together with two other technologies to create what Range Rover calls a full-body audio experience.

Body and Soul Seats (BASS) use AI-optimised software to analyse the music being played in real time and generate in-seat pulsations so occupants can physically feel the music. This works in both front and rear rows.
Sensory Floor adds four haptic transducers beneath the floor mats in each passenger footwell extending the physical audio experience beyond the seats and into the floor.
Together these three systems create an immersive audio environment where you do not just hear the music you feel it throughout your body.
Buyers can also choose from six BASS wellness programmes ranging from Calm to Invigorating. These programmes generate vibration patterns designed to measurably affect heart rate variability either helping reduce anxiety or improve focus and cognitive response.
Powertrain Options
The Range Rover SV Ultra is available with two powertrain options at launch:
Powertrain | Type |
|---|---|
P550e | Plug-in electric hybrid |
P615 | V8 petrol |
A fully electric version of the SV Ultra is also confirmed and will be launched later in 2026.
