Next Gen Tata Tiago & Tiago.ev Launched With Big Upgrades

Tata Motors has officially launched the Next Gen Tiago and Tiago.ev in the Indian market with major updates in design, features and safety. The company says the new hatchback lineup is built on the trust of more than 7 lakh customers earned over the last decade. Both models have been introduced with a focus on offering better technology and everyday practicality for Indian buyers.

Prices Start From ₹4.69 Lakh

The new Tiago petrol version has been launched at a starting price of ₹4.69 lakh. Meanwhile, the Tiago.ev starts from ₹6.99 lakh for full ownership. Tata Motors is also offering a Battery-as-a-Service option for the electric hatchback at ₹4.69 lakh with battery usage charges of ₹2.6 per kilometre, making EV ownership more affordable for customers.

Fresh Exterior Styling Gives Stronger Road Presence

The updated Tiago range now gets a more modern and sporty appearance compared to the previous model. Tata Motors has added a wider stance, sharper body lines and improved styling elements to enhance road presence. Features like Lux Beam headlamps with LED DRLs, connected Halo Lightbar tail lamps and diamond-cut alloy wheels further improve the premium look of the hatchback.

Interior Gets More Premium Features

Inside the cabin, the Next Gen Tiago receives several feature upgrades aimed at improving comfort and convenience. The hatchback now comes with a Fabricia Luxe dashboard, dual-screen setup and a new SportLuxe steering wheel. Tata Motors has also added a large 26.03 HD touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

Tiago.ev Designed For Daily City Driving

The Tiago.ev has been specially developed for urban customers looking for an easy and practical electric mobility experience. Tata Motors says the electric hatchback now supports faster charging and can add 100 km of driving range in just 18 minutes. The company also claims the EV has been designed to deliver a smoother and more convenient city driving experience.

Connected Features Improve Everyday Convenience

The new Tiago range includes several connected and convenience-focused technologies for daily usage. Features include iRA connected car technology with over 35 connected functions, wireless smartphone charging and a 65W Type-C charging port in the EV version. Tata Motors says these features are aimed at making the overall ownership experience more modern and user-friendly.

Safety Package Gets Major Upgrade

Tata Motors has added several advanced safety features in the Next Gen Tiago lineup. The hatchback now comes with segment-first features like a 360-degree surround view camera and blind view monitor to improve visibility while driving and parking. Other safety features include six airbags, ESP with traction control and automatic headlamps for added confidence on the road.

Buyers Get Multiple Engine And Transmission Choices

Customers can choose from multiple powertrain and gearbox options depending on their driving needs. The company is offering Petrol MT, Petrol AMT, iCNG MT, iCNG AMT and EV versions in the new Tiago range. Tata Motors says this wide range of options has been designed to suit different customer preferences and usage requirements.

Tiago.ev Aims To Reduce Running Costs

According to Tata Motors, the Tiago.ev has been developed as a financially practical electric vehicle for daily city users. The company says lower running costs can help customers recover ownership expenses over time. Tata Motors also highlighted that the EV supports flexible ownership models and affordable electric mobility solutions for Indian buyers.

Speaking during the launch event, Shailesh Chandra, MD and CEO of Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd., said hatchbacks continue to play an important role in personal mobility for Indian families. He added that the Next Gen Tiago has been created to offer modern design, connected technology and strong safety features at an accessible price point for a wider range of customers.
