What Is New in the Night Edition Models?
Mercedes GLE Night Edition
Features & What's New

The GLE Night Edition gets two exclusive exterior paint options-
Alpine Grey
Obsidian Black
Both designed to complement the dark overall theme. On the outside, it also features blacked-out wing mirrors, gloss black bumper trims, and a black roof for a more aggressive, premium stance.

Inside, the cabin gets black Nappa leather upholstery, Anthracite open-pore oak wooden trim, and black door sills- giving it a more refined, darkened feel compared to the standard model.
One of the most notable upgrades in the GLE Night Edition is the addition of Airmatic air suspension, which was not available on the standard 4-cylinder GLE. This is the first time a 4-cylinder powered GLE has been offered with this suspension setup in India, making it a meaningful upgrade for ride quality and adjustability. A head-up display is also now fitted as standard.
Mercedes GLE Night Edition Powertrain & Specs
The GLE Night Edition is available in two engine options:
GLE 300d 4Matic: 2.0-litre 4-cylinder diesel producing 270 hp and 550 Nm of torque
GLE 450 4Matic: 3.0-litre inline-6 petrol producing 380 hp and 500 Nm of torque
Both variants come with a 9-speed automatic gearbox and 4Matic all-wheel drive. Airmatic air suspension is standard across all Night Edition variants.
Mercedes GLS Night Edition
Features & What's New

The GLS Night Edition carries over all the same exterior and interior dark-theme updates seen on the GLE-
Alpine Grey
Obsidian Black
These paint options, blacked-out mirrors, gloss black trims, black roof, black Nappa leather seats, Anthracite wooden trim, and black door sills.

In addition to the head-up display now fitted as standard, the GLS Night Edition also gets a pair of rear entertainment screens, making the cabin more passenger-friendly for longer journeys.

The GLS Night Edition is also offered with two engine choices:
GLS 450 4Matic: 3.0-litre inline-6 petrol producing 380 hp
GLS 450d 4Matic: 3.0-litre inline-6 diesel producing 367 hp
Like the GLE, both GLS Night Edition variants come with a 9-speed automatic transmission, 4Matic all-wheel drive, and Airmatic air suspension as standard.
Should You Buy the Mercedes GLE or GLS Night Edition?
If you were already considering the standard GLE or GLS and prefer a sportier, blacked-out aesthetic over the regular chrome-heavy look, the Night Edition makes a strong case. The price premium over the standard models is reasonable given the added features. Especially the Airmatic suspension on the GLE, which is a genuine functional upgrade and not just a cosmetic addition.
The limited availability also means these editions will be relatively exclusive on Indian roads, which adds to their appeal for buyers who want something that stands out in the luxury SUV segment.
