BMW has officially launched its stunning M440i Convertible to India, and honestly, it's one of the most exciting open-top cars you can buy right now. Priced at ₹1.09 Crore (ex-showroom), it actually comes in cheaper than its closest rival — the Mercedes-Benz CLE Cabriolet, which will set you back ₹1.16 Crore. BMW just made the choice a little easier.

The BMW M440i Convertible is powered by the more likeable B58 3.0-litre 6-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, the same unit found in the popular M340i, paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox. This engine puts out 374 bhp of power and 500 Nm of torque — numbers that should put a big smile on any driving enthusiast's face.

This car comes with BMW's xDrive all-wheel drive system. It sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds and has a top speed of 250 km/h. And yes, it also gets a sporty exhaust note to go along with those performance figures.

The M440i Convertible is hard to miss. You get BMW's signature full-height kidney grille along with the sleek 'Snake Eyes' LED headlights with blue accents. The bumper has functional air intakes on both sides, giving it that purposeful, sporty look.

The car rides on 19-inch alloy wheels, with 225-section tyres at the front and wider 255-section tyres at the rear. At the back, there's a well-crafted LED tail light design, M440i badging, and dual exhaust tips — all adding up to a rear end that looks just as good as the front.

The M440i Convertible ditches the old hard top for a lighter fabric soft top roof. It takes just 18 seconds to fully open or close, and you can operate it at speeds of up to 50 km/h and 2+2 convertible works well for occasional rear passengers.

The cabin is driver-focused, blending a clean design with a sporty and premium feel. It features M340i-inspired front seats, a curved dual-screen setup with a 14.9-inch touchscreen and 12.3-inch digital cluster, plus a Head-Up Display for key info. The M steering wheel adds to the sporty vibe, while the 12-speaker Harman Kardon system delivers excellent sound even with the roof down.

Safety is also a key focus. The car includes multiple airbags, stability control, parking assist, and other modern safety features to ensure a safe driving experience.
