The full form of RPM is Revolutions Per Minute.
In cars, RPM tells you how many times the engine rotates in one minute. It helps drivers understand how hard the engine is working while the car is running.
For example, if the RPM meter shows 2,000 RPM, it means the engine is rotating 2,000 times every minute. Lower RPM usually helps save fuel, while higher RPM gives more power and faster acceleration.
You can see the RPM meter on the car’s instrument cluster, especially in manual cars where it helps drivers know the right time to change gears.
